Whew! Made it!

The Puppy Love stuffie is complete! I just barely made it by my end of the year deadline. Despite being a giant pain to knit, he did turn out super cute. And super huge. But Kiddo seems to like him, so that is the important part.

Oh Boy.

Kiddo has requested a puppy stuffie. He’s not much of a stuffie kid, but is insisting that he needs one. I’m not one to say no to Kiddo’s request for hand knit goods, so I’be cast on for a puppy, using Puppy Love pattern. I let Kiddo have input on the yarn, and he found […]

Starting Him Early

I took Kiddo yarn shopping the other day. That is something that I haven’t done since he was super little. But, we were doing some school shopping, and ended up near Unwound a yarn store in downtown LaCrosse. I had heard from one of Husband’s relatives (a non-knitter) that the store was wonderful and I […]

Seattle with Kiddo

Wow, has summer flown by fast. It feels like Memorial Day was just here, but we’re already in mid July. Summers always seem to be extra busy for us, and this one was no exception. I’m hoping though, that things will start to calm down a bit and leave me with a little more free […]

Done and Done!

I have finished BOTH Shark Attack blanket and the Padfoot Birthday socks! The Shark Attack blanket has been finished for a couple of days, but I was waiting to get some pictures of Kiddo with the finished product. However, Kiddo has been sick and is feeling less than photogenic lately, so I will have to get […]

Testing Out Shark Attack Blanket

Kiddo decided to try out the almost completed Shark Attack blanket. I think he’s a fan. I’m knitting away on the teeth. Each individual tooth goes quickly, but I have to make a lot of them. The strip of teeth needs to be long enough to go all the way around the shark’s mouth.

Progress

I’m getting close to finishing the Shark Attack blanket for Kiddo. I have the body and fins knit and assembled. The original pattern had a pelvic fin on the bottom, but I couldn’t get that to look right, so I left it off. The fins are lightly stuffed to give them a little more body. […]

Knitting for Kiddo

I don’t knit a lot for other people. If I’m going to put the time and effort into a hand knit item, I want to make sure the person receiving it will properly appreciate all the effort. As hard as it is for me to understand, some people just don’t place the same value on […]
