Jogless Stripes

I’m making good progress on the Luffe mittens. In just a couple days, I’ve knit the first mitten through the increases for the thumb gusset. I stuck with my original plan to knit the outside of the mitten in grey and black stripes. I’m making these out of Telemark, a now discontinued sport weight wool […]

Project Planning

Since finishing the puppy stuffie for Kiddo, I haven’t really done much knitting. I’m working on the heel of my primavera socks, but progress on those has been pretty slow. Instead of actually knitting, it seems that I’m spending much more of my time right now thinking about knitting. I spent some time cleaning up […]

2019 – A Look Ahead

Happy 2019! As I mentioned in the last post, I didn’t do fantastically at meeting my fiber goals in 2018. However, 2019 is a new year, so I might as well set some new goals for this year. I’m planning on continuing with my stash reduction goal. However tracking skeins in versus skeins out didn’t […]

2018 – Knitting in Review

So my goal on Raverly was to knit 15 projects this year, which was wildly optimistic, especially when you consider that last year I only finished 6 projects. In 2018, I will finish the year with 8 completed projects and a pair of socks on the needles.  Looking back, here is what I finished in […]

Whew! Made it!

The Puppy Love stuffie is complete! I just barely made it by my end of the year deadline. Despite being a giant pain to knit, he did turn out super cute. And super huge. But Kiddo seems to like him, so that is the important part.

Almost There

I’d really like to get the puppy stuffie for Kiddo done by the end of the year. I’m not at all sure that I will be able to get it done, seeing as how the end of the year is just three days away, but I’m going to give it my best shot. Aside from […]

Keep On Stitching

I haven’t made any major progress in my knitting projects. I’ve finished all four legs and am starting on the body of the puppy stuffie for kiddo. It has reminded me just how much I hate working with novelty eyelash yarn. However, the stuffie should turn out soft and cuddly, so that is a win.  […]

Oh Boy.

Kiddo has requested a puppy stuffie. He’s not much of a stuffie kid, but is insisting that he needs one. I’m not one to say no to Kiddo’s request for hand knit goods, so I’be cast on for a puppy, using Puppy Love pattern. I let Kiddo have input on the yarn, and he found […]

Nope.

So, about 6 inches into the charade sock, I realized a couple things: The sock was coming out smaller than I wanted, so I probably should start over and either cast on more stitches or use bigger needles. It was coming out fine, but I was rather “meh” about it. I wasn’t enjoying working on […]

Next Up – Charade Socks

Now that I have gotten several projects finished, it is time to start some new ones! Of course, that means it is time to get some new socks on the needles. I did some digging in my stash of sock yarn and came across a couple of skeins of a self-striping yarn, Jo-Ann Sensations Bamboo […]
