Over the weekend, I cast of for two different projects.
Friday night, I cast on for my first of two Grace clutches. I’m starting with the one for my friend, which is going to be bright pink and black. So far, the pattern seems to be pretty straightforward. But I have only knit about an inch, so it still has plenty of time to become more complicated.
Saturday, Kiddo had a friend over, so I needed something a little bit more mindless to work on, so I started with a new sock. I decided to knit the Vanilla Latte Socks, which looks like a pretty simple pattern. I’m knitting these in some sock yarn that I picked up on our trip to Dubuque last fall. It is La Jolla by Baah!, a superwash wool. The colorway, Make My Heart Sing, is a combination of plain black and white with multicolored speckles. So far, I have only finished the first cuff and a few pattern repeats, but I’m pretty happy with how it is knitting up.
