My goal was to have my Stone Layers shawl completed before Husband and I left for vacation. We leave on Sunday, I have about 68 rows plus the bind off to go, plus a crapload of ends to weave in, and then I have to block it. I’m not sure I’m going to make it.
That’s the problem with triangular shaped shawls where you start on the small end. At first, progress goes really fast and you get over confident about how soon you’ll finish. Then, as the rows grow longer and longer, reality starts to set in.
If I can get it knit by Friday, I can weave in ends and block on Saturday. It is doable, but will be cutting it close, especially after this morning’s adventure.
I was trying to squeeze in a couple of rows this morning before work, and of course noticed an error four rows down. Instead of getting a couple of rows done, I ended up ripping the project back 4 rows. So much for making progress.
The clock is ticking, we’ll see how it goes.
On a less ominous note, I’m really happy with how it is turning out.
Your shawl is beautiful!! Good luck getting it done in time:)
