Overall, I have a pretty good finishing rate on my knitting projects. It may take a while (sometimes a long while), but I usually end up with a finished object.
Every now and then, however, I run into that project that I just cannot get through. Try as I might, I just cannot get the yarn and needles to cooperate or I cannot get into a good groove with the project.
I think I’ve reached that stage with the Hyperion Pullover. I really like the sweater, it is super cute. I’ve ripped it out and started over at least three times, and I just cannot get past the first sleeve.
A couple of nights ago, I tried to pick it up once again. However, the spot I had marked on the chart was not where I left off, so by the end of the row, the pattern was all off. That was the point I decided to call it. I ripped it all out and set the yarn aside.
I really like the sweater and hope to be able to pick it up again. But, for now, I’m going to start on a new project. I’m thinking the Gramps cardigan for Kiddo.
